After The Dutch Took Over The Power From Portugues. They Renamed It As Dutch Palace. This Museum Contains Old Stamps, Portraits, Photos, Maps Of Cochin, History Of Kerala & Ernakulam In Particular, Documents, Palanquins Made Of Ivory, Weapons, Armour, Royal Attire & Many More. If Mattancherry Is On Your List, Then You Must Never Miss This Treasure Palace.

Parade Ground Is One Of The Oldest Military & Naval Exercise Grounds In The World. This Ground Was Designed & Built During The Portuguese Period. (16th Century) Later Used By Dutch & Finally By The British. After Independence, Cochin Corporation Owned The Ground.
David Hall Art Gallery, St.Francis Church, Cochin Club Are Some Of The Few Colonial Buildings Surrounding The Ground.

           David Hall Art Gallery Was Built By Dutch East India Company In 1695 By Dutch Governor Of Cochin, Hendrick Adrian Van Rheede. The Famous Name Which We Malayalis Remember Him As A Great Author Who Wrote 'Hortus Malabaricus'. (A Complete Collection Of Medicinal Plants Found On Western Ghats) But How many Of Us Even Know The Efforts Of Itti Achyuthan A Great Thiyya Ayurvedic Physician. Renowned Dubash or Translators Who Worked In The Court Of Raja Of Kochi Namely Ranga Bhatt, Vinayaka Pandit, Appu Bhatt.(Konkani Speaking Gowda Saraswatha Brahmins) How many Of Us have Even Heard These Names In Our Life?


                          Saint Francis Church (16th Century) Is The Oldest European Church In India. This Church Was Originally Built By Portuguese As A Roman Catholic Church. Later, When Dutch Defeated Portuguese, This Church Become A Protestant One. After British Gained Full Control Over Cochin, They Converted To A CSI English Protestant Evangelical Church.


Cochin Club Is One Of The Oldest Clubs In The Country. This Club Started To Function In 1905 As An Exclusive European Only Club Till August 15, 1947.


Delta Study Building Is One Of The Best Five Colonial Buildings Of Fort Kochi. This Classic Bungalow Once Housed A Swiss Commodity Trading Company Called 'Volkart' In The Year 1808. Now It is Used As A School Building.

Chinese Fishing Nets In Fort Kochi Is A Must Attraction, Even If You Miss Other Monuments In This Place.You ShouldNot Miss This Old Wonder Built In 1443 By Chinese FisherFolk, As Per The Instruction Of Kublai Khan Great Emperor Of Medieval China & Presented To The Raja Of Cochin.
